ROSIE LEA HOUSE

Rosie Lea House is located in the very heart of the beautiful New Forest
The Grade II listed building was acquired by Rosie Lea in 2020 and renovated to create a relaxing
rustic restaurant and outdoor dining experience.
With many original features being restored inside, such as the open fireplaces, beamed ceilings
and original bread oven located in the walls, the outdoor areas have been given a stunning face lift.
Providing beautifully landscaped gardens with a heated marquee for alfresco dining all year round.
A rustic children’s play area provides a safe place for children to play whilst parents relax. With its
mud kitchen, wooden play boat and fairy house, theres a whole host of imaginative games just
waiting to be played!
Our menus showcase the very best of local produce. With our New Forest producers being the star
of the show, from breakfast through to lunch and evening events our Head Chef creates stunning
dishes with our very own Rosie Lea Rustic Twist.
WE have a team of pastry chefs working behind the scenes so our afternoon teas are a sight to
behold. We also offer a stunning selection of hand baked cakes and bakes all day long for those
who understand, every hour is cake o clock!!!
We look forward to welcoming you to our House!
Love
Rosie Lea

OUR STORY

Rosie Lea History.
Rosie Lea was established in early 2011 as a small market stall trading locally to test the water
with baked goods!
As week on week at the market got busier (and colder) our owner Rachel started to look for a shop
front to move the thriving market and catering business int. In November of that year our very first
Tea Room opened in the heart of Brockenhurst High Street.
During the next four years Rosie Lea was to win a variety of awards, from best tea room in
Hampshire, 4 times, to best customer service in food!
Alongside this we were awarded travellers choice awards by on line review forums.
Along with the accolades came the customers and, as a result, our second location was born!
Our second tea room and Farm Shop thrived alongside its smaller sister for the next 5 years, when
the decision was made to move into bigger stand alone premises. This was to allow us to
specialise more in tailored weddings and events. We closed our tea room at Setley Ridge, packed
up and got ready to move.
January 2020…..Rosie Lea House was signed sealed and …..not delivered!!!!

With the new premises contract came Covid and a looooonnngggg stretch of time to rennovate our
beautiful Grade II listed building.
July 2020, we finally opened our doors and showed the public our stunning transformation!
Since then we have made ourselves at home in our new “House”.
We have hosted many wedding, some stunning events such as birthdays, anniversaries and baby
showers.
And now we have our very own calendar of yearly sell out events. Our summer festival, our
Harvest suppers, Christmas time with Santa and Christmas Eve Banquets to name just a few!
Whilst we have become busier and busier at The House, our owner took the decision in 2023 to
focus all our efforts here and closed our very first faithful tea room. Whilst not an easy decision, it
has meant that we have been able to open our door wider, taking more and more event bookings
and planning some simply splendid events!
Watch this space, as we grow, Rosie Lea House and its growing family grows too!
